Fabric-covered armchair
Pila-47 is a new seat and a new way of seating, where textile is the main feature. All textile, entirely handmade. Apparently unstructured, PILA-47 continuously changes its shape: when opened it is a pure geometric form, but when the proper side is lowered it becomes a comfortable chair. The structure is a seat in wood, provided with an upholstered "sleeve" made of reinforced wool felt. The wool gives structure to the back and at the same time allows it to return to its initial position: a movable chair. Pila-47 has no corner: all lines are curved and rounded, creating spaces, reflections and shadows that change continuously. Pila-47 is a green product, entirely made by hand using natural materials. It is fully upholstered: the only visible material is fabric, except a leather detail, embossed with the Rubelli logo, which both adds value to the chair and indicates the back side.
